Cscape™ 9.2

OCS Control Software

The latest version of Cscape™, Version 9.2 is now available for download. It provides a number of enhancements designed to improve your user experience.

Cscape™ Overview

Cscape software combines graphical ladder diagram programming (based on IEC-1131) with operator interface development to completely integrate the control package. Its straightforward approach to programming combines logic with messaging and networking, and offers:

  • Integrated IEC languages
  • Relay Ladder Logic
  • Floating Point Maths
  • Motion Commands
  • Serial Read and Write Functions
  • Auto Tune PID
  • Modem & Networking Functionality

Logic

Cscape Features a powerful IEC-1131 style free form, drag and drop ladder editor. Nearly 100 functions to choose from, including conversion, string handling, advanced math, flow control and more. IEC-61131 languages now come as standard with Cscape.

Operator Interface

Designed to simplify development of your Operator Interface screens while you develop your control logic. Screens can be called up from ladder logic or operate independently. Use a single set of I/O references to ensure no duplication of effort.

I/O Configuration

Configure all your I/O from Cscape manually or automatically-with over 60 I/O modules to choose from. Built-in expansion and remote I/O are all handled in a straight-forward manner.

What's new in Cscape™ 9.2?

Cscape 9.2 Enhancements - (New Firmware is Not Required)

  1. Significant improvements to the Where Used feature.
  2. Added support for unsigned integer (UINT) and unsigned double integer (UDINT) math and compare functions in the Horner Advanced ladder.
  3. Added datagram support for faster debug and watch window updates.
  4. Added an auto backup feature that creates backup copies of the Cscape program when a file is opened. In the event of a PC power failure or PC crash a backup copy will remain.
  5. Enhanced warnings when only part of a double word is accessed.

Cscape™ 9.2 corrected issues

  1. Corrected an issue that caused I/O names to not be sorted in address order. The following items were include with servicepack 2 of Cscape 9.10 and are also included in this release.
  2. Corrected an issue when space character start a string and multi language translation is used.
  3. Corrected an issue of loading CanOpen firmware into an RX371.
  4. Corrected an issue when uploading a some I/O configurations the negative logic was shown as positive logic (XLe, XLt XL6...).
  5. Corrected an issue where sometimes when modifying a contact or message in SMS/Email messages the group name was assigned automatically.
  6. Recipe downloads always overwrite the recipe data now the user is given options.
  7. 32 bit timer preset values were incorrectly allowed to be negative.
  8. Corrected an issue that caused communication with XL units with Ethernetnet add-on to not re-establish after a power cycle.
  9. When using Font Compression with Unicode support in TextTables and Alarms an improved font compression algorithm means errors are much less likely to occur.
  10. IEC compiler fix for problems with using REALs in UDFBs.
  11. IEC fix for String move failure.
  12. Repair sorting facility in I/O Name list.
  13. XL10e increased support to 300 objects on Screen.
  14. Fix the Bitmap compression memory problem which could cause crashes on systems with low RAM availablility.
  15. Minor text correction in the datalog dialog when using triggered logging only.

Cscape™ 9.20 Enhancements - Firmware 12.80 or later is Required

  1. Support for CsCAN Smartrail I/O. The new CsCAN SmartRail base allows using SmartRail I/O with the CsCAN CAN port found on most Horner controllers.
  2. Support for SmartBlock I/O. SmartBlock I/O is a CsCAN CAN based I/O.
  3. Support for file attachments in emails sent from the controller are now supported.
  4. Datalogs, alarm logs, screen captures and other files can be sent as an email from the controller.
  5. Screens objects using downloadable protocols as their data source have been optimized to improve performance.
  6. 32 bit counters have been added to the Horner Advance Ladder instruction set.
  7. Trends can be setup to have positive and negitive values.
  8. An option was added to manually switch to SMS mode. This allows a cellular modem to stay in GPRS data mode and only switch to SMS mode when need to send and receive SMS messages. This can improve the connectivity in GPRS mode and can eliminate extra data sent when switching between SMS and GPRS mode.

Cscape™ 9.20 Service Pack 1

Contains the following issues that are resolved. This can be downloaded in full or if Cscape 9.20 is already installed the automatic update can be used from the "Help | Check for Updates" menu in Cscape. New firmware is Not required.

  1. Corrected issues with debug and datawatch when firmware 12.60 or older is used on X products and corrected issues with datawatch and debug when older controllers or firmware are used as pass through programming devices.
  2. Corrected an issue using %K6 and %K7 on the QX501 controller.
  3. Corrected an issue where a blank program was download if the user attempeted to download an IEC program with errors.
  4. >Corrected an issue with the PWM option in the PID function block.
  5. Corrected an issue with the "Add to Datawatch" feature when used with the Const Block Move function.
  6. Corrected an issue with auto register allocation when used with timers.
  7. Corrected an issue with displaying some overlapping graphic objects.
